Kit components
This kit contains the components for two Sterling or
Sterling All Terrain handles —
(2) handle arms
(2) handle pads
Required tools
A 3/16" drift pin (or punch) and a hammer
Installation instructions
1.
On the handle side of one of the locking mechanisms,
position the drift pin (or punch) over the roll pin and hammer
the roll pin down, approximately ½", until the handle can be
pulled away (Figure 1).
Do not hammer the roll pin down any farther than is
necessary to remove the handle. The locking pawl is
connected to the roll pin. If the roll pin is driven too far
down, the locking pawl will fall out, and the tow bar must
be completely disassembled in order to reposition it.
2.
Insert one of the handle pads over one of the replace-
ment handles, and align the end of the handle with the 3/16"
hole over the hole for the roll pin.
