ATTACHMENT OF THE RAIL GUIDES
TO THE COLUMNS (43")
Position the rail guide in the desired location
1
on the column paying attention to the
orientation with the base plate.
Drive (1) 3/16" x 1.5" self-drilling screw
2
through the top or second hole in the rail
guide and into the column.
Drive a second screw into the column
3
through a hole in the rail guide near the
bottom of the column.
Attach the rail clip to the column at the
4
desired location using (2) self- drilling
screws.
ATTACHMENT OF RAILS TO THE
COLUMNS
Position the columns so that the spacing
1
captures the rail snuggly. For rails that are
not cut, this will provide a center-line spacing
of 10' for the columns.
Set the rail onto the rail clips extending from
2
the column. Drive (2) ¼" x 1.25 lag screws
up through the rail clip and into the bottom
of the plastic rail. Be careful not to over-
tighten and strip out the screw holes.
For installations where removable rails are
3
necessary, the rail can be set on the rail clip
and not screwed in place. There will be
some loss of force that the rails will support
because the screws are not helping to
strengthen the rail.

NOTICE
Over-tightening the screws may make the rail
guide too tight and the rail hard to insert.
Repeat this process for other columns, or to
attach more than one guide to a column for
corners or linear runs.
