Positioning the water control group

The valve group can be fixed to a wall or, if used in con-

junction with a solar storage cylinder, can be fixed direct-

ly to the storage cylinder itself.

 - If you are fixing the kit to a wall, make sure that you use 

the right type of wall plugs.

If you are fixing the kit to a solar storage cylinder, check 

whether the storage cylinder is equipped with polyure-

thane foam insulation or not. See the storage cylinder’s 

own manual for details.

Installing the kit on a solar storage cylinder WITH 
THREADED M8 INSERTS (A):

 - install the kit using the M8 screws provided in the holes 

in the body of the storage cylinder.

Installing the kit on a solar storage cylinder with poly-
urethane foam insulation (B):

 - use the self-tapping screws, washers and expansion 

plugs provided. To avoid damage, make holes in the 

storage cylinder insulation at the points marked (F) be-

fore inserting the expansion plugs for the valve group.

Drill holes in the insulation using a Ø6 mm drill bit.

 - Connect the safety valve drain to a pipe (T) to avoid 

burns from expelled fluid and to permit the heat trans-

fer fluid to be recovered.

 - Connect up the expansion vessel (E), which is de-

signed for use in solar water heating systems.

 - Connect the pump and the sensors to the solar regu-

lator (if provided) as instructed in the manual supplied 

with the regulator.

 - Use silicone seals of at least 80SH hardness in all wa-

ter connections. If it proves impossible to fit a seal, use 

high temperature sealant (>180°C) to seal fittings.
