Circulation units anti block control
The operating logic includes an anti block control of the circula-
tion units and mixing valves.
At the end of each heat request on a zone, a corresponding tim-
er lasting 24 hours is activated. If the timer expires, i.e. the cir-
cuit remains inactive, the following procedure is carried out:
−
Complete opening cycle of mixing valves (only for the low
temperature zones) for 120 seconds
−
Complete closing cycle of mixing valves (only for the low
temperature zones) for 120 seconds
−
Circulation units of all the zones powered for ten seconds.
At the end of the these operations, the timer starts again.
Each heat request by the REC, TA or CT interrupts the timer in the
zone concerned.
3.9
Anti-freeze control
The anti-freeze function protects the
BAG
3
from freezing with the
rooms being protected by the REC, TA or CT and the boiler pro-
tected by its own anti-freeze programme.
System sensors (12 and 13) are used to manage the anti-freeze
intervention threshold in the low temperature zones.
If the temperature detected by a sensor is less than 10°C, the
circulation unit of the zone concerned activates for 4 minutes to
recover the heat from the room. If the temperature rises above
the threshold of 10°C, irrespective of whether 4 minutes has
passed or not, the circulation unit switches off.
If after 4 minutes the temperature remains between 6 and 10°C,
the circulation unit remains off for 2 hours after which time it
will be reactivated for 4 minutes.
If the temperature should fall below 6°C at any time, a heat
request is activated for a heat equal to the system's minimum
temperature until the temperature detected by the sensor ex-
ceeds 10°C.
3.10
Night-time shift control
The "Night-time shift" function allows two delivery temperature
levels to be controlled.
On the zones, it is only possible to activate this function on the
Ambient Thermostat/Chrono-thermostat inputs and when there
is thermoregulation. If the contact on the TA / CT input of the zone
is closed, the delivery temperature is the one calculated by the
thermoregulation. If the contact is open, the delivery tempera-
ture calculated by the thermoregulation is appropriately correct-
ed in order for the ambient temperature to be balanced. In both
conditions, the circulation unit of the zone is always powered.
9
The "Night time shift" function is only to be activated on the
BAG
3
board by a quali
fi
ed technician and only if absolutely
necessary.
9
The manufacturer declines all liability if parameter settings
are incorrect.

Setting the circulation units
The
BAG
3
is equipped with digitally controlled high ef
fi
ciency
electronic circulation units. Below is a description of the main
characteristics and the procedures to be carried out in order to
set the required operation.
User interface
The user interface consists of a button (A), a two-colour LED red/
purple (B) and four yellow LED (C).

LED 5
The user interface allows the functions which are in operation
to be displayed (operating status, alarm status) and allows the
circulation unit operating mode to be set.
The performance data, indicated by the LED (B) and (C) is
always displayed during normal operation of the circulation
units while the parameters are set by pressing the button (A).
Indication of the operating status
When the circulation unit is operating, the LED (B) is green The
four yellow LEDs (C) indicate the consumption of electrical energy
(P1) as shown in the table below.

Indication of the alarm status
If the circulation unit has detected one or more than one alarm,
the two-colour LED (B) is red. The four yellow LEDs (C) indicate the
type of alarm as shown in the table below.
