12.1
Safety instructions for cleaning, inspection
Avoid dangers due to electricity; applies to electrically heated appliance.
WARNING!
Danger of electric shock. Risk of death.

Electrically disconnect electrical appliance by disconnecting the plug from the power
supply.
➔
Check the appliance and connection cable for any damage.
➔
Never pour water onto electrical components or the electrical connection.
➔
Do not clean the appliance in the dishwasher.
➔
Do not use a steam cleaning unit to clean the appliance. Doing so may allow
moisture to get into the electrical system and cause a short circuit.
➔
Have electrical appliances inspected by a qualified electrician
at least every six
months

Avoid dangers due to hot areas; applies to electrically heated appliance.
WARNING!
Risk of burns inside the heatable appliance. You can burn your hands and arms in the area
of hot surfaces.

Where possible wear protective gloves.
➔
Allow the appliance to cool down first.
# Choose the correct cleaning method
CAUTION
Incorrect cleaning can cause damage to the surface.
➔
Be careful not to scratch the surface with sharp-edged objects. Do not use sponges
with abrasive surfaces or steel wool or steel brushes.
➔
Do not use scouring agents or aggressive cleaning agents, such as oven sprays.
➔
Avoid extended exposure of stainless steel to liquid containing salt, as this can lead
to surface discolouration or corrosion.
➔
Avoid direct, extended contact of stainless steel with corroding iron parts, e.g. steel
kitchen sponge.
