ASSEMBLY
TO INSTALL/ALIGN/REMOVE THE THROAT
PLATE
See Figure 25.
WARNING:
The throat plate must be level with the saw
table. If the throat plate is too high or too low,
the workpiece can catch on the uneven edges
resulting in binding or kickback which could
result in serious personal injury.
Lower the blade by unlocking the height adjusting
handwheel and turning it counterclockwise.
To install the throat plate, first slip the tab underneath the
saw table at the back of the saw and then push down to
secure in place.
NOTE:
The throat plate may move up and down over
time. If necessary, adjust the screws through the throat
plate until it is level with the saw table.
To remove the throat plate, place your index finger in
the hole and lift the front end, pulling the throat plate out
toward the front of the saw.
ASSEMBLING THE RAILS
See Figures 26 - 28.
To assemble the front rail:
NOTE:
Do not completely tighten set screws until all front
rail pieces are assembled and you have made sure the rail
will lie flat and level.
