FRR with feed belt
Simplified feed path (no inverter mechanism)

FRR with feed belt is a standard original separation technique. Details can be
found in the core technology manual.

Remember that there is no inverter. The second side is scanned by the CIS, which
is near the exit roller.

There are some differences in copy quality between the images scanned by
the CCD and by the CIS. There are some SPs which try to address this issue.
They will be covered in the Image Processing section of the course.
Skew correction is covered in more detail in the next slide.
