Resetting the Ricmotech RealGear GTpro Pedal PCU
The PCU on the pedals may become unresponsive if poor calibration values are set. This can occur by
pressing the program switch on the PCU in random patterns or by loading
“
empty
”
saved profiles.
Resetting involves returning the PCU to a
“
safe
”
calibration and then recalibrating each pedal so the PCU
learns their respective true start and stop points.
Step 1
–
Recovering to a
“
safe
”
calibration
1.
Unplug the USB cable from either the PCU or PC end (whichever is most convenient)
2.
Press and hold the
“
number 1
”
side of the program switch
3.
Plug the USB cable back in
4.
Wait at least 2 seconds
5.
Release the program switch
The PCU should now have a
“
safe
”
calibration loaded. You may test the pedals on the PC and you should
see the axis move on screen. The axis will not move within their full range however. This will be
corrected in the next steps.
Step 2

Calibrating the pedals to their full range
1.
Calibrating the Throttle Pedal
a.
Press the
“
number 2
”
side of the program switch for 3 seconds to enter program mode
b.
Click the
“
number 1
”
side 3 times
c.
Wait for the PCU to confirm 3 green blinks
d.
Wait for a single red blink
e.
Press the throttle to the end of its travel (do not mash it down)
f.
Release the throttle pedal
g.
Click the
“
number 1
”
side 1 time
h.
Wait for 1 green blink and 2 red blinks
i.
Move the throttle about 1-2mm and release
j.
Click the
“
number 1
”
side 1 time
k.
Wait for 2 green blinks
l.
The PCU will exit program mode
2.
Calibrating the Brake Pedal
a.
Press the
“
number 2
”
side of the program switch for 3 seconds to enter program mode
b.
Click the
“
number 1
”
side 4 times
c.
Wait for the PCU to confirm 4 green blinks
d.
Wait for a single red blink
e.
Press the brake to what you want 100% braking to feel like
f.
Release the brake pedal
g.
Click the
“
number 1
”
side 1 time
h.
Wait for 1 green blink and 2 red blinks
i.
Press the brake pedal about ½ inch (1cm) and release
