Easy-Lock Pet Gate

Instruction Manual

Thank you for choosing Richell’s Easy-Lock Pet Gate. Please read this instruction manual carefully before 
assembling or using this product, and keep for future reference. 

Note

l

 Do not use the product for anything other than its intended purpose.

l

 Injury or death to pet may be caused if pet behaves unexpectedly if startled by thunder and lightning, 

  or other animals. Keep the product in a place where it remains in sight, and keep it open when unattended.

l

 Take caution not to stumble when stepping over the bottom of frame.

l

 Do not place the product at the top of staircase or near a glass door.

l

 Lock the Gate Door to keep pets properly confined (Fig. 8).

l

 Be sure to place the product against walls with a width of 2.4" (6 cm) and above, and on a flat sturdy surface

   (Fig. 7).

l

 This product fits openings from 28.3-35.4"(72 to 90 cm). Do not place the product outside this range (Fig. 6).

l

 Keep the product away from fire or extremely high temperatures.

l

 Do not use a leash with your pet when using this product. Pet could become tangled.

l

 Do not lean or sit on the product.

l

 Tighten Adjuster Knob at the space between Main Frame and Lower Gate Lock to 0.08-0.12"(2-3 mm) 

  so that the tension spring effect works properly (Fig. 4).

l

 Tighten Adjuster Knob at the space between Main Frame of Upper Gate Lock to 0.04-0.08"(1-2 mm) so that 

  the tension spring effect works properly (Fig. 5).

l

 Be careful of sharp objects while assembling.

l

 Make sure the Gate Door is locked when it is closed.

l

 Place the product against sturdy wall surfaces (locate studs) to prevent damage to the wall surface.

l

 Use the product carefully. Do not drop or hit it.

l

 Be sure the product is securely fixed. If not, tighten Adjuster Knobs as necessary (Fig. 7).

l

 Do not try to force the Gate Door open past 90 degree angle.

This product is designed for small and medium dogs, 8.8-44 lbs. (4-20 kg). No screws or additional tools are 
needed to mount the product in a doorway or hallway opening with width of 28.3-35.4" (72-90 cm).

Designed for placing against the wall or within

the door frame using the tension spring effect.

Before installing, the top width of frame will be wider than the 
bottom because the product is designed to be mounted using 
the tension spring effect. Tighten the top Adjuster Knob to create 
the same spacing between the Gate Door and the Main Frame.

Side Frame can be adjusted to keep pet confined.

When closed, the Gate Door is locked automatically.

Adjust the clearance using the Side Frame to keep pets properly 
confined.

If too much or too little force is used when closing, the Gate Door may not lock.

Be sure the Gate Door is locked (at bottom and top) when it is closed.

l

 

If the Gate Door is pushed too hard when closing, it may overpass the 

  Gate Lock and cause damage to Upper/Lower Gate Locks and wooden 
  parts.

Before assembling, be sure all parts are included, as shown.

 Decide which of the optional parts will be used to assemble the product.

l

 Parts needed will vary, depending on your doorway/hallway 

  opening, as shown below. Keep parts away from children.

l

 To attach the product in opening with width of 30.7-35.4"(78-90 cm), 

  use the Side Frame. Adjust Hexagonal Nuts until the clearance 
  between each Frame is set to 1.8” (4.5 cm) and under as shown. 

l

 Tighten Hexagonal Nuts after adjusting the clearance.

Attach Hexagonal Nut, Side Frame, another Hexagonal 
Nut, and Adjuster Knob to Long Adjuster Bolt, in this order.
