4.3.2- Thinning the paint
If the paint can’t flow through the viscosity measuring cup, the paint must be diluted. Always dilute
the paint in small amounts with a suitable thinner. Repeat the viscosity measuring cup test until the
paint can flow. When choosing a thinner, refer to the paint manufacturer’s instructions to make sure
you use the correct type of thinner and that the paint can be diluted. Mix the paint well before and
after dilution. Do not dilute the paint beyond the manufacturer’s recommendations.
4.3.3- Sieving the paint
Sieve the colour through a fine metal sieve or nylon stocking in order to remove any particles that
may block the gun.
4.3.4- Filling the paint container
1. Remove the paint bucket by unscrewing it (Fig. 4).
2. Fill the cup with paint to the maximum fill line of 800mL (Fig. 5).
3. Adjust the paint suction hose according to the position you are going to use the gun (angle up or
down): see Fig. 6 & 7.
4. Screw the bucket firmly onto the gun. Make sure that the gasket in the cover and suction pipe are
not damaged and are properly installed.
