5.3- Using the Ladder:

For safety reasons ladders in general shall be used with care and common sense.
With regard to the collapsible ladder, we also want to point out the following:
1) The ladder is used at an angle of 75 degrees, in relation to the ground (Fig. 11).
2) The ladder is built for maximum load of 150 kg (Fig. 12).
3) The ladder must be used on a flat firm level surface.
4) The top three rungs must not be used as foot steps.
5) The ladder must not be used with an irregular distance between the rungs (Fig. 13).
6) Avoid using the ladder in damp or wet locations as this may result in a malfunction due to dirt and
water getting into the tubes.
7) Avoid subjecting the ladder to knocks or rough treatment, as damage to the tubes directly affects the
collapsible function.
8) Always transport collapsible ladder in the folded position, so that the collapsible tubes are protected
inside each other and cannot be damaged.
9) The ladder must not be used whilst hanging from the top rung.
10) Do not open, close or use the ladder upside down.
11) The ladder must not be used in a horizontal position, such as resting on a step or saw horse.
12) The ladder is designed for only one person to climb on it. Never attempt to climb on ladder with
more than 1 person.

VI. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

6.1- Care and maintenance:

The collapsible ladder is a precision-made work tool. It should be cared for and maintained in
accordance with the following instructions:
1) The collapsible tubes must be kept clean. Dirt, filings, paint spots, glue etc. must be wiped away
after use and before the ladder is closed. Also wipe the steps of the ladder.
2) For liquid cleaners use a small quantity on a piece of soft tissue or cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleansers (solvents or abrasive cleansers), or an abrasive sponge.
Do not immerse product in water or any other liquid
After cleaning the collapsible tubes, open all the sections, wipe every tube dry with paper or cloth. The
ladder must always be dry.
3) The plastic end caps should always be in place to prevent dirt, filings etc. from getting into the
collapsible tubes and causing damage.
4) The ladder must not be used without the rubber feet and the plastic end caps.
