IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
We recommend that at least 2 persons unpack the log splitter package
Remove product from its packaging.
Check that product and accessories are not damaged.
4.2- Assembly
For packing reasons, the machine is not completely assembled and therefore requires some assembly
from the user.
4.2.1- Support leg assembly

4.2.2- Support plate & Protective cover assembly (

- Assemble the left support table (4a) to the protruding lugs on the left side of the frame, then
assemble the right support table (4b) to the protruding lugs on the right side of the frame, with the
provided bolts and nuts.
- Use the square lugs (L) to fix the protective cover left panel (6a) to the left support table (4a), then
assemble the protective cover right panel (6b) to the right support table (4b).
- Use the square lugs (L) to fix the front panels (6c) to the protective cover left panel (6a) and the
protective cover right panel (6b).
- Use the square lugs (L) to fix the back panel (6d) to the protective cover left panel (6a).
NOTE: If insertion of the square lugs by hand results difficult, you may use a wooden or rubber
hammer to knock them into place.
- Insert the support plate (7) to the main frame.
- The machine is now fully assembled (Fig.4.2)
4.2.3- Setup

Once the log splitter is fully assembled, lift the log splitter by the handles at both ends and place it on
a 72~85cm high, stable, flat and levelled work surface.
NOTE
: The height of the control actuators shall be between 850 to 1650mm from ground.
This log splitter must be used and fixed on a suitable, stable and flat work table or stand with
a height between 720 to 850mm from ground.
4.3- Set up and preparation for operation
- Check that the machine is completely and correctly assembled according to local regulations.
- Make sure that no parts are missing. If one (or more) part(s) is (are) missing, do NOT use the splitter.
Contact your local dealer to obtain the missing parts and make sure to correctly assemble them before
using the machine. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
- Before using the machine, make sure each time that
- there are no faulty connections (tears, cuts, etc.)
- there is no damage to the machine
- all screws are tight
- check the hydraulic system for any possible leaks, refill oil if necessary
- Ensure that the working area meets the following conditions:
- flat levelled surface and strong enough to support the weight of the machine.
- no danger of slipping
