OPERATION
1) NORMAL Volume Mode
In this mode, the RFX412 takes either a mono or stereo signal, and controls the
overall signal level. Channel 1 Input signal level is controlled by the pedal, and
sent out Channel 1 output. The same goes for Channel 2.
Example One shows a possible connection diagram for using the RFX412 for a
stereo volume control.
2) PANNING Mode
With the PAN/NORM switch pressed in, the RFX412 acts as a panning or balance
control. If a stereo signal is present, like the right side going to Channel 1, and the

left side going to Channel 2; the right channel is fully on when the pedal is rotated
completely forward, and the left channel is completely off. When the pedal is
rotated to it's back position, the left channel is on and the right channel is off. For a
balanced signal level, the pedal must be placed in the middle of it's rotation.
If you wish to pan a mono signal, you must use a "Y" cable to send the same
signal to both Channels 1 and 2. Then that signal is panned between Channel 1
and Channel 2 outputs. Refer to Example Two.
