Profibus Data Transfer - Status Machine

Description of the Status Machine

The frequency converter runs through a status machine. The transitions
between different statuses are triggered by corresponding control
commands in the control word of the process data. The current status is
returned in the status word of the process data.

After activation, the converter is in

Activation disable

state. The state

can only be quitted by transmission of the command "Standstill (off 1)".

Usually, the response to a master telegram does not contain the reaction
to a received control command. The control must check the slave's
responses for execution of the control command.

The following bits indicate the status of the converter:
