OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only.
The appearance of this appliance may differ from the illustration.
Only use this appliance for its intended purpose, as described in this manual.
Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
OVERHEATING CUT-OFF -
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that will
cycle OFF (0) should the heat of the dryer exceed the optimum drying level, due to
partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops,
turn the appliance OFF (0) and allow it to cool down. Once the appliance cools, the
thermostat will automatically reset and usage may resume.
HEAT AND SPEED CONTROL -
High temperatures and speed settings are ideal for
fast drying or rough drying before styling; low temperatures and speed settings are ideal
for styling.
SMOOTHING CONCENTRATOR -
Channels airflow for smooth, manageable drying.
Do not concentrate the airflow on anyone area for an extended period of time. If you
desire to dry your hair quickly, remove the attachment and set the dryer to a high heat
and speed setting. Before drying thick hair with this attachment, use the dryer on the
high setting to remove excess moisture.
VOLUMISING DIFFUSER -
Remove the smoothing concentrator before attaching to
the dryer. Use to create volume, lift waves and enhance curls.
CAUTION: The diffuser should only be used on the low heat/speed setting ( I ).
STYLING
• Always towel-dry hair to remove excess water and smooth it with a comb or brush to
untangle. Styling hair will be faster if it is slightly damp, not wet.
• Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet and adjust the switch to the selected setting.
Use the HIGH (II) setting on thick or coarse hair and the LOW (I) setting
on fine or thin hair. Circulate airflow through the hair. Do not concentrate airflow on any
one area for along period of time.
• As soon as hair is almost completely dry, lower the heat/speed setting and use a styling
brush to shape the hair.
• Turn the appliance off when styling is complete. Allow the unit to cool completely before
storing.
DUAL VOLTAGE SELECTOR -
Confirm the necessary voltage required for using this
hair dryer. Most countries will require the hair dryer to be set at the 230-volt position. In
the U.S.A., set the hair dryer to the 120-volt position. To change voltage,
the hair dryer should not be connected to electrical outlet. The switch should be in the
OFF (O) position. Use a small screwdriver or similar instrument to turn the voltage selector
to the appropriate voltage. Use an appropriate plug adaptor of the proper configuration
for the electrical outlet. IMPORTANT: When this dryer is used at the 120-volt position,
please make sure the electrical outlet can withstand a load of 16 Ampere (A).
Consult an electrician to ascertain this setting.
HANGING RING -
This dryer features a ring allowing it to be conveniently hung on a
hook for easy access.
CLEANING -
Always unplug the appliance from the mains after use and allow it to cool
before cleaning. Wipe the outer surface of the dryer with a slightly moist cloth, then wipe
dry. This dryer is a precision-designed professional tool, it must breathe to operate at
peak efficiency. Always check that the air inlet is free from lint, hair and other matter.
Do not attempt this when the dryer is operating or connected to the electrical outlet.
STORAGE -
Always unplug when not in use.
Allow the appliance to cool before storing. Always store in a dry location. Do not pull
or twist the cord. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the cord
to wear prematurely and break. Regularly check the power cord for wear and damage
(particularly where it enters the appliance and the plug).
