4.2.5 Triggering
The Trigger/PPS Configuration dialog allows the operator to control the pulse length and
delay characteristics.
4.2.5.1 Trigger Input
Active:
The Active check box is not selected (inactive) by default. When
selected, the ping will occur upon receipt of the input trigger pulse. If the
trigger pulse rate exceeds the sonar‟s actual maximum ping rate for that range
setting, some trigger input pulses may be dropped. Deselecting the check box
will return the sonar to ping at the rate dictated by the settings on the Main
Sonar Settings tab.
4.2.5.2 Trigger Output
A TTL trigger out pulse, approximately synchronous with the transmit pulse, is available
via a BNC connector marked Trig Out on the rear panel of the processor (see
appendix
B.3.3 7125 Processor Cable Connections
).

Active:
The Active check box is selected by default. When selected, a pulse
will be generated in conjunction with the sonar ping.
