TESTING DEFAULTS

The Testing Defaults function can be used to quickly configure the monitor with the factory recommended settings
for the purpose of automated testing.  The testing defaults are all Dual Enables turned on, all other features turned
off, the currently installed program card is used, and Daylight Saving and Buzzer Disable are not changed from
their current settings.

Use the arrow pushbuttons to select

YES

  and press the

ENTER

pushbutton  to configure the monitor with the

factory recommended settings for testing and lock the monitor.

NOTE:  The monitor will provide an audible confirmation of implementation of the factory recommended
configuration by sounding the buzzer (five chirps).

4.6.2.1.6

CONFIGURATION CRC

The monitor is capable of calculating a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) value for every recorded configuration.
This screen displays the last ten configurations and the CRC value for each configuration.  This screen is view
only.

4.6.2.1.7

CONFIG SETTINGS MENU

If the monitor has an editing session open, the menu items will be inversed if any setting accessed through that
menu item has been changed.  If the monitor has an editing session open, the display screens accessed through this
menu will have a flashing cursor for any display that contains editable settings.  If the monitor is locked (no editing
session open), all of the display screens will be read-only and will not have a cursor displayed.  The monitor will
always indicate any pending setting changes by displaying the pending settings in inverse.  This pending status is
updated in real-time so that if changes were made to a monitor through the COM port or the Ethernet port while
someone was viewing the display for that setting, the pending change would be immediately visible.

4.6.2.1.7.1.1

PER CHANNEL PERMISSIVES

Programming card permissive settings are displayed on a per channel basis.  A jumper symbol (

) indicates that a

channel (the row) is jumpered as permissive with another channel (the column).  A dash (

) indicates a non-

permissive channel combination.  This display is view only.  Use the up (

▲) or down (▼) pushbutton to scroll the

viewing window to the other channels.  This display is view only.  Press the

ENTER

 pushbutton or the

ESCAPE

pushbutton to exit.

4.6.2.1.7.1.2

MINIMUM YELLOW CHANGE DISABLE / LATCHES / MINIMUM FLASH

This display is view only.  Press the

ENTER

 pushbutton or the

ESCAPE

 pushbutton to exit.

MYCD – Programming card Minimum Yellow Change Disable settings are displayed on a per channel basis.  A
jumper symbol (

) indicates that the Minimum Yellow Change is disabled for that channel.  A dash (

) indicates

the Minimum Yellow Change is not disabled.  MYCD jumpers are usually not needed for monitors operating in the
Type 12 mode.  In Type 16 mode, MYCD jumpers are usually required for all pedestrian channels.

LATCHES

– CVM Latch determines if the monitor latches a CVM fault and requires a front panel or external reset

in order to return to normal signal operation.  If set to NO, after a CVM fault has occurred, the monitor will return
to normal signal operation once the CVM input returns to the valid (low) state and the Minimum Flash time has
expired.

24V Latch determines if the monitor latches a +24V Monitor I or +24V Monitor II fault and requires a front panel
or external reset in order to return to normal signal operation.  If set to NO, after a +24V Monitor fault has
occurred, the monitor will return to normal signal operation once both of the +24V Monitor inputs return to the
valid (> +22VDC) state and the Minimum Flash time has expired.

MINIMUM FLASH – The Minimum Flash time displayed is the time setting that is jumpered on the program card.
According to the NEMA specification, the monitor will add one second to the jumpered time to get the actual
Minimum Flash time used and that the jumpered value cannot be less than five seconds.  If the jumpered value is
less than five seconds, it will be displayed as five seconds as this will be the value used.
