HELLO webcam

You can mount the webcam in different ways depending on how you intend to use it. Refer to the
instructions in the quick start guide for details.
a)
Attaching the webcam in a fixed position
•
Remove the protective film on the back of the metal holder. Use the gel strips to attach the metal holder to
the edge of the monitor, ideally in the middle.
•
Attach the back of the HELLO webcam to the blank side of the metal holder. A magnet is built into the back
of the webcam for this purpose. The HELLO webcam can be easily detached from the magnet.
b) Attaching the webcam to the rotating holder
•
Remove the protective film on the bottom of the rotating holder. Use the gel strips to attach the holder to
the edge of the monitor, ideally in the middle.
•
Attach the back of the HELLO webcam to the blank side of the metal holder. A magnet is built into the back
of the webcam for this purpose.
•
The holder can be rotated (up to a certain angle) to adjust the position of the webcam.
Operation
a) Connecting the HELLO webcam to a computer
•
Connect the micro USB connector on the USB OTG cable to the micro USB port on the HELLO webcam,
and then insert the USB-A connector into a USB 2.0 (or higher) port on your computer.
•
If necessary, use the extension cable.
•
The operating system will automatically search for and install the required camera drivers. Wait until the
installation is complete.
•
You can now use the webcam to take photos and record videos.
b) Using the facial recognition feature
Windows 10 is required to use the facial recognition feature on the HELLO webcam.
•
Use the software CD to install the necessary software on your computer.
•
Configure the facial recognition settings in Windows 10. Use your face or another user’s face as desired.
•
For more information on how to set up facial recognition, refer to the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Ensure that all the necessary drivers for Windows 10 are installed, otherwise facial recognition
may not function properly.
•
Align your face with the camera to log in. The camera will recognise your face and load your account.
Care and cleaning
•
Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
•
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or cause the product to malfunction.
•
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. Always
dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Intended use
This webcam is designed to record videos and images and transfer them to a computer. It comes with an
additional infrared camera that supports facial recognition for Windows 10. This allows you to secure your
user account and log in using the infrared camera without entering your password.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g. in bathrooms)
must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as a short circuit or fire. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only
make this product available to third parties together with its operating instructions.
