Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in these operating instructions, we assume no liability
for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of
operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a
low height can damage the product.
• Install the light in such a way that it is out of reach of children.
• The light must only be operated via mains supply (see chapter “Technical
data”). Never attempt to operate the product with other voltage, as this
might damage the product.
• The product features a protection class I design; the protective ground
wire must be connected.
• Caution, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into
the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The light has been designed according to IP54 requirements and may be
installed and used both indoors and outdoors.
• But do never install or use the product under water.
• Choose the correct position when installing the product (see chapter
“Installation and connection”) as otherwise there is a risk of lethal
electric shock!
• The light must not be operated via dimmer switch.
• The product is not explosion-proof. Do not use the product in rooms that
contain or could contain inflammable gases, vapors or dusts. This poses
a risk of explosion!
• Never point (e.g. for cleaning purposes) water from a garden hose or high-
pressure cleaner etc. at the product!
• The light is intended for fixed installation. Never install it in vehicles.
• Do not hang or attach any objects (such as decorative materials) from or
to the light.
• The drain outlet at the lower part of the light must remain open in order for
condensation to run off.
• For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention
regulations for electrical systems and equipment of the government
safety organization or the corresponding authority for your country.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of
the device.
• Maintenance work, adjustments and repairs may be carried out only by a
professional or at a specialist workshop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating
instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical
personnel.
Preparing installation
Observe all “Safety instructions”!
Caution! Have the product installed by a qualified expert (electrician) who
is familiar with all applicable regulations (e.g. VDE)! By handling mains
voltage improperly, you endanger not only yourself but also others! If
you do not have the relevant expert knowledge, do not install the product
yourself, but have it done by a professional.
• Install the light to a stable surface only. Depending on the surface, use suitable
screws and dowels.
• The light must be secured within the sub-distribution using a 10/16 A fuse to be
provided by the customer. Install a earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) in front of
that.
• The light must be installed in voltage-free condition. It is not sufficient to turn off the
light switch!

Intended use
The product is designated for illuminating indoor and outdoor areas. The LED light has
been designed according to IP54 requirements and can be installed and used both
indoors and outdoors. The product is intended for wall mounting. The product features
a motion detector (PIR – passive infrared). It is essential that you follow all safety
instructions and other information in these operating instructions!
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this
product. If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the
product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short
circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them for
future reference. Make this product available to third parties only together with its
operating instructions.
