Mounting in a server rack
• The lighting unit can be installed in a 48.26 cm (19 inch) server rack. You can use the supplied
mounting hardware (screws or magnetic tape) to attach the lighting unit.
• If using the magnetic tape, make sure that the mounting surface on the lighting unit is clean
and free of dust, grease and moisture.
• Check that the magnetic tape adheres adequately to the mounting surface inside your server
rack.
Be careful not to cover or glue over the mode switch when attaching the magnetic
tape to the lighting unit.
• Switch the product to the desired mode before installation. There are two available operating
modes: Mode I - (door mode) or mode II (touch mode).
• It is recommended to check the two modes before installation. To do this, connect the round
plug of the power adapter to the socket on the lighting unit and the power adapter to a
suitable mains socket. Please also note the illustration in the section “Product overview”.
Then disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket and the lighting unit.
•
Use the touch mode if you want the light to switch on manually by pressing with your finger.
When installing, make sure that the sensor area is easily accessible.
• Use the door mode when the light should turn on when opening the rack door. The detection
range of the door sensor is approx. 4 – 5 cm.
• As soon as an object is located at a distance of approx. 4 – 5 cm in front of the door sensor,
the light switches off. When the object (rack door) is removed from the door sensor, the light
turns on.
•
It is recommended to fix the door sensor of the lighting unit at a distance of approx. 1 cm to
the closed rack door. As shown in Figure.
1 cm distance
• The screw holes can be covered with the supplied covers after mounting.
• After installation, connect the round plug of the power adapter to the socket on the lighting
unit and the power adapter to a suitable mains socket.
• Check the function of the lighting unit.
Care and Cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the mains socket before cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the case or cause the product to malfunction.
• Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• The LED bulbs are not interchangeable.
