• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the appliance ceases to function
- the device was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g., during transport),
condensation water may form.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the power
supply. In some cases, this may take several hours.
There is the deadly peril of an electric shock, if the power adapter gets wet!
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly unattended; it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• In business institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Li-
ability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities must
be observed.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops, the operation of
the product must be supervised by trained employees.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
b) AC adapter
• The design of the plug-in power adapter complies with IEC protection class II
(double insulated electrical appliances).
• Connect the power adapter only to a proper outlet of the public supply network.
• The power socket where the power adapter is plugged in must be easily acces-
sible.
• The AC adapter is only suitable for indoor use in dry interiors; it must never get
damp or wet. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• Protect the cable of the AC adapter from sharp edges and do not step on it.
• Never touch a power adapter that shows signs of damage, as this could cause a
fatal electric shock!
Switch off the mains voltage to the mains socket to which the power adapter is
connected (e.g., switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the
safety fuse and then switch off the corresponding RCD).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Afterwards, do no
use the product anymore, it must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly
way.
• Only use the power adapter provided to operate the wireless camera. If the power
adapter is faulty, it must be replaced by an identical, stabilised power adapter with
the same technical specifications (voltage/current).
c) Radio camera
• The wireless camera is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor areas (IP65). How-
ever, it must never be used in or under water, as this will destroy it.
• The wireless camera must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• The connecting plug used for the power connection is protected against moisture.
However, do not place it in or under water. We recommend a place where it is
protected from direct rainfall.
• The AC adapter is only suitable for indoor use in dry interiors; it must never get
damp or wet. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Make sure that the connection cable does not get pinched, kinked or damaged
by sharp edges.
• The use of the wireless camera does not replace the personal supervision of chil-
dren or people who require special assistance, but serves only as a support to
this supervision.
• Mount the camera in such a way that it does not point towards bright sources
of light (e.g., sunlight or flood lights). Not only does this lead to an overexposed
and unusable image, but it may also damage the image sensor if exposure is of
a long duration.
