Replacing the batteries
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being
swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin.
Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is
a danger of explosion!
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion!
Only recharge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose;
use a suitable battery charger.
Please observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the
battery.
• If the display does not show anything or display contrast decreases, the battery has
to be replaced.
• Replacing the battery should be done by a specialist, using special clockmaker tools
and relevant technical expertise.
• To replace the battery, remove the bottom of the casing.
• The battery can then be removed from its holder and be replaced.
Water and shock resistance
The wristwatch is protected against impacts that can occur with normal everyday use.
Nevertheless, do not expose it to extreme shocks such as might occur if it falls onto a
hard surface. This could damage the clock mechanism.
The labelling 10 BAR or WATER RESIST 10 BAR means that the watch is suitable for
bathing, swimming, car wash, showering and so on.
This is not a diver’s watch.
Never press the buttons under water.
Maintenance and cleaning
To clean the watch, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. For heavier soiling of the
exterior, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water.
Clean the watch very carefully; otherwise you may scratch it.
Do not press too heavily on the glass cover, as this can lead to breakage.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclables and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Remove the battery if there is one inserted and dispose of it separately from
the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled
with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste
is forbidden. The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery / rechargeable
battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official
collection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or
rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
