does not matter if it is switched on or off.
When the USB3.0 hub is supplied with power, the blue LED on the upper side
lights up.
The operating system will detect the new hardware, and automatically install the
required driver; it is already present in the operating system.
• Now connect your USB devices to the two USB3.0 ports. Depending on the USB
device, the driver might have to be installed manually.
The USB3.0 ports are backwards compatible with USB2.0 and USB1.1.
Using memory cards
The integrated card reader has a slot for SD cards and microSD cards. The memory
card used is integrated into the system in the same way as a conventional removable
media drive. When the memory cards are accessed for reading or writing, the blue
LED on the hub/card reader flashes.
It is not possible to use SD cards and microSD cards at the same time. Only
one type of card can be used at any one time.
Inserting and removing a memory card
• Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting a memory card.
When inserting an SD card, the contacts must point towards the microSD card slot.
When inserting a microSD card, the contacts must point towards the SD card slot.
The write protection (sliding switch on the memory card) must be deactivated
for data to be written to or deleted from the SD card.
• When the memory card is to be removed, wait until all read/write accesses have
finished (The LED on the card reader stops flashing and remains lit permanently).
Only then pull out the memory card carefully from the card slot.
If the memory card is pulled out while data are still read or written, the data
on the memory card can be corrupted. It might also be necessary to refor-
mat the memory disk.
The same applies for disconnecting the USB connection.
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product does not require any maintenance.
• The product exterior should be cleaned only with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions, since these could damage (discolour) the housing or even impair
operation.
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of in household waste!
Dispose of the waste product in accordance with the applicable legal regu-
lations.
