Operation

a)  Installation

•  Remove all packaging material and place all components on a clean, flat surface,

e.g. a table.

•  Turn the retainer (14) anticlockwise to remove it from the column (12) of the motor

assembly.

•  Insert the column of the motor assembly into the opening on top of the stand (13).

Hold the motor assembly upside down in order for the stand to move all the way

against the column.

•  Manually turn the retainer underneath the stand onto the thread of the column in

clockwise direction. Make sure the connection between the column and stand is

hand-tight and secure.

•  Place the motor assembly including the stand on a stable surface.
•  Turn the cap nut (3) clockwise to remove it from the rotor shaft (7).
•  Turn the retainer (5) anticlockwise to remove it from the thread of the motor

assembly.

•  Place the rear protective grille (6) onto the motor assembly with the lobes

interlocking with the upper openings and lower opening of the protective grille and

thereby keeping the protective grille in place. The handle on the rear protective

grille must face upwards.

•  Turn the retainer (5) onto the thread of the motor assembly in clockwise direction to

secure the protective grille.

•  The rear protective grille consists of two parts that are connected to each other

with Phillips head screws. Check the Phillips head screws of the rear protective

grille for tightness.

•  Place the fan blade (4) onto the rotor shaft (7). Please note that the thread on one

side of the rotor shaft is levelled and that the opening in the fan blade must be fitted

precisely. The two pins on the rear side of the rotor shaft must be aligned with the

notches behind the fan blade.

•  Turn the cap nut (3) onto the thread of the rotor shaft in anticlockwise direction in

order to secure the fan blade. Hold the fan blade with one hand to tighten the cap

nut. Tighten the cap nut by hand only.

Risk of injury! The fan blade edges are very sharp.

•  Attach the front protective grille to the rear protective grille using six Phillips head

screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten all screws evenly.

b)  Installation location

Carry the product at the handle located on the rear protective grille (6). Place the

product with the stand (13) onto a dry, clean, level and stable surface.

Keep sufficient distance to appliances generating heat.
Do not place the product below vases or flowerpots in order to prevent the

product from getting into contact with water.

c)  Turning on/off, adjusting fan speed and oscillation settings

•  Make sure the switch 0–1–2–3 (10) is at position 0. Connect the mains plug (11) to

a wall socket.

•  Turn the switch 0–1–2–3 to position 1. The fan starts rotating at low speed. Turn

the switch 0–1–2–3 to position 2. The fan starts rotating at medium speed. Turn the

switch 0–1–2–3 to position 3. The fan starts rotating at high speed.

•  Change the airflow direction by carefully tilting the motor housing (8) up or down.

Let the motor housing lock into place at the desired position. Do not apply too much

force when adjusting the motor housing. Tilt the motor housing only as far as it goes.

•  Press down the oscillation switch (9). The fan starts rotating to the left and right

alternately. Fully pull up the oscillation switch in order to stop the oscillating function.

•  Turn the switch 0–1–2–3 to position 0 to switch off the fan.

Maintenance and cleaning

a)  General

•  Switch off the product and disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket before

cleaning.

•  Cleaning and servicing must not be carried out by children.
•  Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
•  Frequently wipe the components of the fan including the protective grilles and stand

with a dry dust rag.

•  When not using the product for a longer period of time, cover it and store it at a dry

location protected from direct sunlight.

b)  Cleaning the fan blade and protective grilles

•  If the fan blade is heavily stained by dust, you may disassemble the product following

the instructions in chapter “Installation” in reverse order.

•  Clean the rear and front protective grilles as well as the fan blade with a slightly

damp cloth.

Risk of injury! The fan blade edges are very sharp.

•  Thoroughly dry all components after cleaning and before reinstalling.
•  Assemble the product as described in chapter “Installation”.
