
• Do not use the appliance outdoors!
• The appliance must not be used in humid or wet environments, in environ-
ments with high dust, and in any environment with a risk of fire or explosion
(areas where chemicals, fuels, oils, gases, paints and other flammable or volatile sub-
stances are stored).
• Do not place any objects on the appliance, even when it is switched off
• Do not use the appliance for other purposes (eg for drying animals, textile products,
footwear etc.) than recommended by the manufacturer.
• When switching on for the first time, there may be a short and slight smoke, which is
not a fault and is not a reason to complain about the appliance.
• Do not place the grill on unstable, fragile and flammable surfaces (eg glass, paper,
plastic, wood-lacquered boards and various fabrics / tablecloths).
• Do not carry the appliance when it is hot, as there is a risk of burns if it is tipped over.
Due to the high temperature, the mat on which the appliance is placed can also heat
up, so do not touch it until it has cooled down.
• Only use the appliance in a working position in places where there is no risk of it tip-
ping over and at a sufficient distance from flammable objects (eg curtains, drapes,
wood, etc.), heat sources (eg stoves, cookers, etc.) and damp surfaces (eg sinks,
washbasins, etc.).
• The appliance must always be placed on a heat-resistant and stable surface.
• When grilling, self-ignition of prepared food is possible. In the event of a sudden igni-
tion, disconnect the appliance from the mains and extinguish the fire.
• In terms of fire safety the grill conforms to the norm EN 60 335–2–6. According to this
norm this is an appliance that may be operated on a table or a similar surface under the
condition that in the direction of the main heat radiation, i.e. above the hotplate, a safe
distance of 200 mm must be maintained from flammable materials and at least 100 mm
in the other directions.
• The power supply must not be damaged by sharp or hot objects, open flames or im-
mersed in water. Never place it on hot surfaces or let it hang over the edge of a table
or worktop. Trapping, tripping or pulling on the power supply, eg by children or pets,
can lead to the appliance tipping over or being pulled down, resulting in serious injury!
• Regularly check the condition of the appliance ‘s power supply.
• Do not use the appliance by connecting it to an extension cord. This could cause the
cable to overheat, resulting in a fire hazard.
• To ensure additional protection, we recommend installing in el. RCD with a rated trip-
ping current not exceeding 30 mA. Seek the advice of an inspection technician or
electrician.
• Only use the appliance with original accessories from the manufacturer. The use of
other accessories may endanger the operator.
WARNING
