TO INSERT BATTERIES
•
Rotate the battery
compartment cap
approximately one
quarter turn then pull
off (Figure 2).
•
Insert one
“AA” ALKALINE
battery. Label on inside of
battery compartment shows
proper direction to insert battery
in the unit.
•
Place cap back on unit in same
position as removed and rotate
clockwise until the cap
snaps into place, and markings align.
Use of any batteries other than alkaline will
negatively affect the unit’s operating performance.
Batteries should not be left in the unit, if the unit
is not in use for long periods. To prevent battery
corrosion the unit should be kept in a dry environ-
ment. Dead batteries should be removed immedi-
ately and disposed of properly. Do not use batter-
ies that have been recharged with this unit. The
lower voltage in recharged batteries impairs the
performance of the cutting unit.
The upper body of Model NE-3 can flex for added
comfort in use. With the switch facing you, tilt the
top half forward or backward as desired up to
30° in either direction.
Maintaining Your Trimmer
Your Remington
®
Wet/Dry Nose & Ear Trimmer is
designed to give you years of comfortable use.
To ensure that you get optimal performance from
your trimmer, follow these maintenance tips:
•
Clean your trimmer between uses.
•
Lubricate the trimmer lightly every six months.
Cleaning Your Trimmer
(All Models)
•
After each use, brush or blow accumulated
hair from the cutting unit.
Rinsing your Trimmer
(NE-3 & 4 models only)
•
After use, rinse the cutter head under the
faucet with cool or warm water. It is not
necessary to remove the cutting head.
Do not use hot water.
•
If the trimmer needs additional cleaning,
the cutting head can be removed by rotating
it approx. 1/8” turn and pulling it off. Blow out
accumulated hair or rinse more thoroughly
under running water.
•
Shake excess water from the cutter head,
making sure that all parts are held together.
•
Replace the cutter in the same position as it
was removed, rotating it clockwise 1/8 turn
to lock it into place.
•
After rinsing, apply a drop or two of mineral oil
or baby oil to the top of the cutter head
between two teeth. Too much oil applied may
spray. Be sure to point the trimmer down and
away from you and turn it on to spread the oil
evenly and expel any excess.
