1 . Using the pipe cutter, cut the pipe to required length at right angles and
without leaving burrs .
Note:
Keep your hand at a safe distance from the pipe cutter . Do not use any saws
or similar!
2 . Push the compression sleeve over the pipe .
Only black plastic sleeves (PX) are to be used .
3 . Expansion using expanding pliers:
Expand pipe twice, offset by 30° .
During this process note the minimum distance (two compression sleeve
lengths) between the expander head and compression sleeve .
Do not tilt the pipe during expansion! Do not subject the pipe to bending
stress during expansion!
4. Insert the fitting into the pipe up to the stop. After a short
time the fitting will sit firmly in the pipe (memory effect).
Note:
All sealing ribs must be covered . The fitting may fall out of the pipe until the
memory effect becomes fully effective! Ensure that the fitting is correctly
seated!
5 . Insert the joint fully into the tool .
Note:
Do not tilt . The tool must be applied over the full surface and at right angles .
If these instructions are not observed this can result in damage to the pipe joint components, the tool and/or personal injury!
