5. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
-
Use a damp cloth to maintain the outer sheet metal and plastic parts. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or solvents.
-
Protect the heat exchanger fins from snow, fallen leaves and other dirt. Check regularly or
clean very carefully with a soft brush.
-
As of the date of placing on the market, the heat pump is NOT subject to regular
refrigerant leakage checks.
5.1. User maintenance
It is recommended to perform user maintenance every month:
•
Pressure check (locally or via remote access in case of installation with RegulusBOX indoor
unit). If necessary, vent and top up water to the system.
•
Condensate drain check.
•
Visual inspection for leaks of working fluids.
•
If necessary, clean the outer covers of the device with non-aggressive and non-abrasive
cleaning agents (e.g. a slightly damp piece of cotton cloth).
•
Check the finned heat exchanger for clogging. Carefully remove fallen leaves and other dirt.
You can use a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush. The fins of the heat exchanger are sharp and
can cause injuries - therefore be careful when cleaning it. In case of considerable contamination
of the finned heat exchanger, it is advisable to have it cleaned by a qualified technician.
5.2. Professional maintenance
It is recommended to have professional maintenance performed by an authorized service technician
once a year:
•
Check wiring and tighten connections
•
Check the correct functioning of the safety elements
•
Adjust the expansion vessel pressure
•
Clean the filter in the heating system. (The unit must be turned off when cleaning the filter.)
•
Check fan mounting and balance.
•
Check power input.
•
Check the refrigerant and possible leaks.
•
Check working pressures and temperatures in the refrigerant circuit.
•
Check the circulation pump.
•
Check cover fastening.
•
Check the heating water quality.
•
Check the finned heat exchanger for dirt.
Warning: Risk of electric shock if live parts are touched!
Disconnect the device from the power supply before working on live parts!
5.3. Fault diagnosis
If a fault occurs, you should always contact the installation company that installed your sysztem with
the heat pump. If the supplier considers that the fault is caused by a material or design defect, the
installation company will contact the supplier and repair the defect. In the communication with your
installer or heat pump supplier, always report the serial number of the heat pump (indicated on the
label on the back of the heat pump and in the Heat Pump Commissioning Protocol).
Error messages
If the system registers some non-standard condition or fault, the controller is informed. The information
about a non-standard condition or fault is shown on the controller display and at the same time, it is
available via the controller website. If set, the controller sends an email message about the problem.
For more information, please refer to the manual of the respective controller.
