 on the next page to assemble the 130-03. 

 

Assembly of the 130-03 

Assemble the 130-03: 

1.

 

Gently re-stack the boards in the order shown in 

Error! Reference source not found.

. 

Note: If new replacement boards are added remember the SMI board is always last. 

2.

 

Insert the six removed #6-32 screws with the lock washers. 

3.

 

Tighten the board stack screws with a screwdriver. 

4.

 

Check that the seal strip is set inside the enclosure lid. 

 
Note: If necessary, apply petroleum jelly to the Seal Strip to better seal the 130-MC. 

5.

 

Place the completed flipped enclosure lid assembly (Item 2) onto the base plate in the 130-03 unit 
making sure the seal strip sits in the groove of the base plate as well. 

6.

 

Spread the latches so the hooks do not interfere with the base. 

7.

 

Push firmly on the top. 

8.

 

Snap the two halves of the 130-03 together. 

 

130-03 REF TEK IP67 Test 

The Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) requires temporary shallow water submersion in 
order to meet the specifications for the Integrated Accelerometer/data acquisition system. The 
accelerograph enclosure must comply with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 
standard 60529, also known as the IP code. 

 

Temporary Shallow Water Submersion Test Procedure 

1.

 

Pressurize the enclosure with 1.5psi of air using an air chuck on the Schrader valve adapter.  

2.

 

Submerge the 130-03 into the water.  

3.

 

Inspect the seal for consistent bubbling from any location. 

4.

 

If no leaks are detected then remove the enclosure.  

5.

 

Open the lid to replace the adapter with the vent.
