19) In case of thunderstorms or if the unit will not be used for a long time, disconnect the unit
from the mains.
20) This unit has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this unit yourself. Only
qualified service personnel should perform maintenance. In the event of a defect,
complain about the unit to your dealer.
21) Do not allow anyone, especially children, to push anything into holes, slots or any other
openings in the body of the unit as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
22) Do not attach this unit to a wall or ceiling.
23) Do not place the unit near televisions, speakers and other objects that generate strong
magnetic fields.
24) Do not leave the unit unattended when it is turned on.
NOTE:
If the unit will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries from the unit. Please also
remove the power cable from the unit if it will not be used for a long time.
POWER SUPPLY
This unit can be operated as follows:
AC operation:
Plug the power cord with the matching side into your household socket and the other side of
the power cord into the AC power socket of the unit.
DC operation:
Open the battery compartment cover (15). Insert 6x UM-2/C batteries into the battery
compartment (batteries not included). Please follow the correct polarity as indicated in the unit.
CAUTION:
Remove the batteries when they are empty or not used for a long period of time. Batteries
contain chemical substances and must therefore be disposed of properly.
