d) Connecting the Flight Battery
Move the control stick for the pitch and yaw functions (also see figure 1, item 10 in „MODE 2“) to the bottom position
and switch on the transmitter with the on/off switch. If you are operating the remote control system in „MODE 1“, the
right control stick must be pushed all the way down.
Put the hexacopter onto a straight surface (table top, etc.).
Then connect the plug of the hexacopter connection cable (1)
that is protected against polarity reversal to the plug connector
of the flight battery (2).
Right after connection of the rechargeable battery, the three
green LEDs (3) in the housing top of the hexacopter will flash.
The blue LED in the middle (4) is used for the function display
of the on-board camera. When the camera is not activated, the
blue LED stays lit.
Once the remote control signal was recognised by he hexa-
copter electronics, the green LEDs are lit permanently and the
electronics reconcile the sensors. It is important that the model
is not moved during this time.
If the three green LEDs keep flashing, the remote
control system is not in operation or the model has
lost binding with the transmitter. In this case, binding
must be performed (see chapter 13).
After approx. 4 seconds, the three red LEDs (5) in the housing
top stay lit as well to display that the hexacopter is ready to
start.
The flashing display of the LED installed in the camera module are described in more detail in the following
chapter 11.
