Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Rebelcell Outdoorbox12.50 (with any charger and/or
accessories you may have selected). The Outdoorbox has been specially developed for angling (12V
trolling motors, depth sounders and waterside energy needs) during outdoor use and wet conditions.
The Outdoorbox comes equipped with a 12V50 li-ion battery with digital charging status indicator,
yellow ANEN connector for trolling motor (with 60A fuse in the Outdoorbox) and two 12V cigarette
plug connections (e.g. for depth sounder). Also included: a separate USB charger and extra yellow
ANEN connector (to connect to the cables of your trolling motor).
Safety precautions and warnings
Your Rebelcell li-ion Outdoorbox (hereafter Outdoorbox ) has been engineered with a safe and long
user life in mind. It is important to thoroughly review this instruction and follow the safety precautions.
Not doing so may invalidate the warranty and result in the malfunctioning of your Outdoorbox and
further damage.
•
Your Outdoorbox has been designed as a power source for electric boating and use in angling
(trolling engine, depth sounders). but is explicitly NOT suitable to use as a starter battery for
internal combustion engines (like in cars and outboards). The Outdoorbox is NOT suitable as
power source for long term use (a number of hours at maximum thrust) in e-boating. For this
application we have developed our AV product line.
•
Only use the Outdoorbox if your trolling engine accepts voltages up to 16.8V.
•
Only use the yellow ANEN connector to connect your trolling engine to the Outdoorbox. NEVER
connect your trolling engine to the 12V socket, it is not suitable!
•
The Outdoorbox is waterproof according to the IP65 standard and is suitable for use in rainy
conditions. Please ensure that the Outdoorbox is completely closed and there is no dirt in
between the top and bottom parts of the Outdoorbox. Also ensure that the 12V power sockets are
never fully immersed in water! These sockets are splash water proof if they are fully closed, but
cannot be fully immersed in water.

When used outside the permitted standards (e.g. high load) your Outdoorbox will automatically
turn off. No power will be available till the Outdoorbox can operate within standards.
•
Avoid damaging the Outdoorbox by dropping it. In case of external damage do not use your
Outdoorbox but have Rebelcell check for proper and safe operation.
•
Place the Outdoorbox in the coolest environment possible. Do not expose the Outdoorbox to
sources of direct heat such as (open) fire, heating or exposure to direct sunlight for extended
periods of time. Long-term use in high temperatures (> 40 ° C) has a negative influence on
service life. At a temperature of 55 ° C, the Outdoorbox will shut itself down until a normal
operating temperature is reached

The Outdoorbox is classified as dangerous goods for transportation purposes (ADR Class 9).

The battery in your Outdoorbox may only be opened by Rebelcell for repairs.
Installation and Use
•
Trolling engine: connect the 2 silver-colored pins (by soldering or crimping with a AMP crimping
tool) to the trolling engine cabling and click into place in the yellow ANEN plug. You can now
easily connect your trolling engine to the yellow connector on the Outdoorbox.
•
Depth sounder: connect your depth sounder with a cigarette lighter plug to one of the 12V
sockets and use a suitable fuse (such as in the Quick Connect FF Outdoorbox cable)
•
USB-equipment: connect the USB-charger (included) to one of the 12V sockets to charge your
smartphone or tablet.
Other 12V equipment can be connected to the 12V sockets (when discharge current < 10A) or ANEN
connector (when 10A < discharge current < 50A).
Guidelines for use
Use with a trolling engine
The Outdoorbox can handle a continuous load of 50A and during10 seconds a 75A peak.
