HEARING IMPAIRMENT SIMULATOR
Set-up Instructions:
1. Download the
Hearing Impairment
curriculum for
participant activities.
2. Set-up a Hearing Impairment Simulation station. Have students work
in pairs to complete the simulation exercise.
3. Each participant should wear the simulator for a minimum of 3
minutes to experience each of the conditions:
• Tinnitus
• Dementia
• General Hearing Loss
• High-Frequency Hearing Loss
4. Either the instructor or the participant may use the controller.
Use Instructions:
1. Insert two AA batteries into the controller.
2. Plug one end of the cable into the jack on the side of the controller
and the other end of the cable into the jack on the bottom of
the headphones.
