Strike the upper ball joint boss with a
dead blow hammer to dislodge the taper.

Remove the upper ball join nut hardware
and separate the upper control arm from
the knuckle. Loosen but do not remove

the upper control arm hardware.

Support the lower control arm with a suit-
able jack. Loosen but do not remove the

LCA hardware at the frame. Remove the
lower strut hardware from the LCA.

Remove the upper strut mount from the
frame. Lower the LCA down while taking
care to not over extend the brake lines

and ABS wires. Adjust as necessary. Re-
move the strut from the vehicle.

Install the ReadyLIFT strut extension to
the strut using the

factory hardware

Torque to

30 ft-lbs
