Testing
Turn on the vehicle power, PA 5AV and stereo, which will activate the amplifier.
Turn the stereo volume down to the lowest setting so no music is playing.
Important!
Set the amplifier input gain to the lowest setting.
Turn on the mic. Increase the mic gain while talking to the desired microphone sound level.
Turn off the mic. Turn up the stereo volume and confirm the stereo volume level is acting
normal. (e.g. half volume is as loud) If too loud or soft, see “Fine Adjustments” section
below to adjust the audio input level.
Once the stereo volume is correct, turn on the mic, and the stereo volume will automatically
dim. To adjust the amount of dimming, see “Fine Adjustment” section below.
Fine Adjustments (if required)
Remove the 4 screws holding the case together and separate the front from back. On the
PC board there are 4 adjustments.
Mic Gain (not shown)
the mic is set at the lowest setting and DO NOT adjust

RCA Audio Input from the stereo / DVD - it has a swing of .5 to 2V and is factory set at mid-
point. (marked as “Increase DVD Volume”)
Muting Adjustment for the RCA Audio Input - this is factory set at 50% muting. (marked as
“DVD Muting”)
Muting Adjustment for the 3.5mmm Front AUX input - factory set at 100% muting. (marked
as “Ipod Muting”)
