Cleaning method when the brushroll cannot be turned manually or unit continues
to shut itself down due to brushroll motor safety overload shutdown.
1. Remove the Bristle Brush
Slide the Release Knob downward (see the picture below). Open the brush
door and remove the Bristle Brushroller. Lift white square end of brushroll
out first – see figure.

Release Knob
2. Clean the Brush
• Remove all debris and hair from the brushroll. Make sure to clean both ends
of the brushroll as hair can wrap around and deposit in these areas.
• Use scissors to cut the tangled hair or string on the Bristle Brush.
• White end cap on brushroll end MUST be free of hair and rotate freely by
hand after cleaning or the brushroll should be replaced. If not, unit will
automatically shut itself off and the LED will flash “RED” for about 10
seconds showing the over-load circuit protection has been activated.
3. Install the Brush
• Please install the Bristle Brush in the reverse order it was removed. Placing
the black “drive end” in 1
st
followed by the white end cap end.
• Ensure that the brush cover is securely attached, and the Bristle Brush
rotates properly.
MAINTENANCE ON CONSUMABLE ITEMS
There are several vacuum cleaner components that are defined as consumable
items and are not covered under the limited 1 year warranty of this vacuum
cleaner. The cost to replace these consumable items are the owner’s respon-
sibility and can be purchased from the ReadiVac website. These items should
be replaced as needed; they will wear out. Good maintenance will allow the
unit to run at peak performance. These items include the Brushroll Assembly,
EPA Filter Assembly, Outer Filter Housing and Duster Brush Attachment.
