User records and plays tapes no differently than
before. After the recording, the Commercial
Advance system locates and electronically
marks most of the commercial segments. When
a Commercial Advance tape is played back,
the VCR automatically scans or fast forwards
through the marked segments, displaying a
blue screen (or video) during the process.
With Commercial Advance, three minutes of
commercial time is reduced to approximately
10 seconds (SLP mode), allowing you to con-
veniently watch your recorded shows in much
less time.

Automatically finds the beginning of the movie
on most rented and purchased video tapes.
You can also selectively watch the previews,
skipping one to the next. With Movie Advance
you can let the VCR find the movie while you
take care of other things — like make the
popcorn! Once the movie is found, the VCR

informs you that the movie is ready to play.
