Chapter 1

Connections & Setup

SKIP/SEARCH

Operates Commercial Skip during TV viewing. (This only works when there is

no tape in the TV/VCR). Displays INDEX, ZERO, and BLANK search screens when tape is
inserted in the TV/VCR. Operates Commercial Scan by advancing tape 60 seconds during
playback.

SLEEP

Sets TV/VCR to automatically turn off in 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes

SPEED (Tape Speed)

Selects a recording speed (SLP, SP, or LP).

STOP

Stops functions such as record, play, rewind, fast forward, and pause.

TRACK - and + (Tracking down and up)

Allows the manual reduction of streaks which may

appear on the picture during regular or slow-motion playback. Reduces picture “jitter” during
stop-action (paused) playback.

TV

Turns on the TV/VCR.

VCR

Turns on the TV/VCR.

VOL  (up and down) buttons

Decrease or increase the TV/VCR volume.
