Playing DVDs
Using the 3-D Surround Button
The 3-D Surround button can be used to simulate surround sound.
The Index Feature
The index feature displays small pictures or “thumbnails” of each chapter on the disc.
1. Press STOP.
2. Press the INDEX button (the index may take a moment to load).
3. The screen displays thumbnails of the first nine chapters. Each thumbnail has a number in the
corner. You can select and play a chapter by pressing that number on the remote.
4. To view the next nine thumbnails, press the button to go forward and the button to go
to the previous page.
5. To exit the index without making a selection, press the STOP button.
Master Volume
Different types of discs may have different volume levels. The Master Volume feature allows you
to set the volume level for all discs.
1. Press PLAY to start playing the disc.
2. Press the INFO button once for an Audio CD and twice for a DVD disc (the info banner is
displayed.)
3. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the Master Volume Icon.
4. Use the left/right arrow buttons to set the volume level.
5. Press the INFO button to exit.
6. Repeat this process with each disc type (Audio CD, MP3 and Video CD).
1. Press the 3-D button (the 3-D Surround banner appears).
2. Use the up/down arrow buttons to change the setting from OFF to
ON.
3. Press OK to clear the banner.
The 3-D Surround button on the front panel of the DVD player can be
used to change the 3-D setting as well. Each press of the button toggles
the setting between on and off.
