Gas Refill

Immediately stop the filling process if

any gas escapes. Fill the gas tank in a

well ventilated environment and avoid

naked flames and sparks.

If hot, let the torch cool for 5 minutes

before refilling. There is a risk of

explosion!

•  Hold the torch so that the refill valve

(12)

 is facing

up.

•  Insert the gas cylinder nozzle into the refill valve

(12)

and press down. A complete refill takes about

5-10 seconds.

•  The gas tank window

(11)

 indicates the level of gas

in the tank.

Operation

Read the section “Safety Instructions”.

Remove the clear plastic cover from

the blow torch before use. Replace the

cover for storage or transport. Do not

replace until the torch has completely

cooled down.

Do not place a hot torch directly onto

a working surface. Use the supplied

stand

(14)

. Align the ports

(3)

 and

(6)

 as

indicated in the “Operating Elements”.

This prevents hot exhaust gases from

coming into contact with potentially

flammable material while the torch is in

operation.

a) Ignition

•  Hold the product so the nozzle tip

(2)

 is facing

away from you in a safe direction.

•  Press safety lock

(8)

, followed by the ignition

button

(9)

until you feel a “click”. This will send a

spark from the piezoelectric ignition mechanism to

ignite the gas.

•  If the gas does not ignite, check the fuel level

through the gas tank window

(11)

•  If the gas volume regulator

(15)

 is at “

+

” position,

the longer flames may cause the torch to flare

or extinguish. Decrease the flame strength

accordingly. Also make sure the air intake port

(6)

is not blocked.

b) Continuous Operation

•  Press safety lock

(8)

, followed by the ignition

button

(9)

until you feel a “click”, then hold. After

the flame ignites slide the locking lever to the left

then release the ignition button

(9)

.

•  Gas will continue to flow and generate heat.
•  To stop the flow of gas, slide the locking lever to

the right.

•  Press the ignition button

(9)

 until you feel a “click”,

then release.

c) Flame Size

•  Slide the gas volume regulator

(14)

 to the right (

+

or left (

) to increase / decrease the flame.

Blow Torch

•  Let it cool down to room temperature to prevent

burns.

•  If needed, unscrew the collar lock

(7)

 and remove

the hot air blower extension

(4)

 by pushing it

through the blow torch assembly

(5)

.

•  Use the minimum flame that will perform the task.

A large flame is less stable and uses more fuel.

Soldering

•  Screw the soldering tip

(1)

 to the nozzle tip

(2)

 of

the hot air blower extension

(1)

.

•  Ignite the torch and allow the flame to pass over

the ceramic catalyst contained inside the hot air

blower extension

(4)

.

•  Observe the ceramic catalyst through the exhaust

port

(3)

•  When it glows orange, press the flame cut off

(13)

to extinguish the flame but sustain gas flow across

the heated element.

•  Unburnt gas continues to pass over the hot

catalyst (rather than burning off with a flame)

which fuels the burning action and creates a

red-hot temperature.

•  Allow the torch to stand for about 2 minutes before

using.

•  Always rest the torch on the

(14)

 stand, making

sure the tip is not near any combustible material.

Hot Air Blower for Shrink Tubing

Always use correct wiring technique and

take the necessary precautions when

working with live wires! If in any doubt

contact a specialist.

•  If needed, remove the soldering tip

(1)

 and

unscrew the collar lock

(7)

.

•  Insert the hot air blower extension

(4)

 through the

blow torch assembly

(5)

.

•  Direct the hot air towards the shrink wrap tubing.

Care and Cleaning

•  Allow the product to cool down completely before

cleaning.

•  Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing

alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these

could damage the casing or cause the product to

malfunction.

•  Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
