Charger Operation
1. Make sure the power source voltage for connecting the battery charger is the same as that
shown on the charger specification plate. Connect the charger to the power source.
2. Place the battery in the charger. Don not force
–
The slot on the battery and the charger base
must be aligned. When properly connected, the
green light displays.
3. Press the SET Button. The green light goes off
and the red light glows, indicating that the
charger is in Charge mode.
4. When the battery is fully charged, the red light
goes out and the green light glows. Remove the
battery.
5. Disconnect the charger from the power source
when not in use.
NOTE:
Battery temperature will increase during and shortly after use. Batteries may not accept
a full charge when charged immediately after use. Allow the battery pack to cool to room
temperature before charging for best results.
Battery Care
When batteries are not in tool or charger, keep them away from metal objects.
For
example, to protect terminals from shorting
DO NOT
place batteries in a toolbox or pocket with
nails, screws, keys, etc. Fire or injury may result.
DO NOT PUT BATTERIES INTO FIRE OR E XPOSE TO HIGH HEAT. They may explode.
Battery Disposal
Do not attempt to disassemble the battery or remove any component projecting from
the battery terminals.
Fire or injury may result. Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape
to prevent shorting.
Nickel-Cadmium Batteries
This product contains a nickel-cadmium battery. Battery must be collected,
recycled or disposed of properly. Please contact a qualified service center for
information on Ni-Cd battery recycling and disposal bans/restrictions in our
area.
