4.4.2. Network Settings
Use this
“Network Settings” page to define the important MT5 network settings. Refer to
section 6
“Network Connection” for additional details about network connections.
CAUTION
– The MT5 is a network device, if you are accessing any Multi-Tracer
page via a browser, then you have a functioning connection to the MT5 system.
Depending on your network and whether you are accessing the MT5 from within
or outside of the local network, changing one or more of these settings may
disable your connection. Reestablishing a connection may require connecting a
keyboard and monitor directly to the MT5 Controller to reset these network
settings. Refer to the section 6
“Network Connection” for complete details on the
MT5 network connection

IP Address
– Defines the IP address of the MT5 on the network. This is most
typically a local area network (LAN) IP address and NOT a globally unique internet
or wide area network (WAN) address. Consult your network administrator for a valid
IP address.
