Charging the electronic unit
To charge the electronic unit, connect the cable to the connected
electronic unit and a USB port (5V/ min. 30mA, CE/UL, protection
class II). During the charging process, the left (red) diode lights up.
Charging the unit may thake 4-6 hours depending on charging
situation at start and ambient temperature. The recommended
room temperature during charging is between 10 °C and 35 °C. At
extremely low or high ambient temperatures the chargin process
may not work properly or not work at all.
Warning! in case of water seepage into the mask during wearing (e.g. during rain), the
electronic unit will switch itself off automatically. It can then be used again after drying
completely.
Care and cleaning of the mask
Remove the electronic unit!!!
The mask may be washed gently by hand at approx. 30 °C. Please do not kink or twist the
membranes. Please do not bend or twist the membranes. After washing, the mask can be
worn again directly, even when damp. Connecting the electronic unit and putting the mask
into operation while drying disinfects it at the same time. Please use only gentle mild
detergents for hand washing. The electronic unit and cable can be wiped with a damp cloth.
Do not iron.
Duration of usage
Every RAY® Osmotex Active Sterilising Facemask® can will last for at least 1000 hours (ca 1 year by
3 hour use per working day). It is recommended to replace the mask every 6 months by regular usage.
The electronic unit has a service life of at least 2 years.
General notes on the electronic unit
1. Precautions regarding the battery in the electronic unit.
WARNING: danger of explosion.
Improper use may damage the battery.
- Do not immerse the electronic unit in water.
- Do not throw the electronic unit into a fire.
- Protect the electronic unit from excessive heat. Observe the recommended usage and storage
temperatures (room temperature). The same precautions should be taken as for other commercial Li-
batteries.
