The Raven Audio Goldfinch Tabletop Audio System
is a complete audio system
that fits within a 9” wide by 12” deep footprint if you stack every cabinet in a
single stack. However it is designed so you can stack in anyway you wish. Side by
side on a single shelf, two plus two for two stacks of two each, or on two shelves.
The system is specifically designed for small living areas or cabins of vessels like
RV’s, Private Motorcoaches, Yachts, Private Jets or Planes, or whatever place you
want to put it actually. The quality of the sound output is on par with some of the
best systems on the planet.
It is a completely vacuum tube powered system of impeccable build quality made
out of machined aircraft grade anodized aluminum. The components are designed
to work together as a system or as independent units with separate power supply.
The system is designed with cooling fans but only the power amplifier section
really ever needs one. The others are switched off and can be hooked up if ever
there is a need for you to. The power amplifier section has an output of 7.5 watts
per channel which will easily operate small bookshelf speakers of 87dB or higher
sensitivity, all the way up to large 5’ tall floor-standing speakers as long as the
sensitivity is higher than 94dB.
We routinely take the Goldfinch to shows with the large 4 driver (2-6.5” & 2-12”)
and ribbon tweeter - Legacy Focus SE which is more than enough to fill medium to
small sized rooms. So do not let the power or size of this Goldfinch fool you. Since
it is a vacuum power amplified system it has a lot of current to run those drivers,
unlike solid state or digital amplifiers, which would need to be at least 500 watts
per channel for the same effect.
The Raven Audio Goldfinch Tabletop Audio System is a real gem of a system and
you have purchased one of the most innovative and quality built products in the
audio world today. It’s not designed to power large rooms or difficult to drive
speakers at all. It has its place, and that is as a main system for small rooms and
low volume spaces, and as a premier second system for the bedroom or hunting or
fishing cabin, second home, or just about anywhere that you have previously
wanted to take your large system but could not for logistical reasons.
