Demount Instructions Cont.
These steps apply to demounting most tire and wheel combinations.
III. Demounting Outer Bead
•
Extend BEAD SAVER arm all the way out and place it at the
12 o’clock position on the wheel.
•
Use tire lever to bring outer tire bead on top of bead saver
arm.
•
With tire lever in place rotate tire wheel assembly to the
right. (clockwise)
Using Rear Roller to Push the Tire Off
•
Once outer tire bead is removed, return bead saver arm to
its original position.
•
Push rear roller arm against tire and keep pushing tire until
you can see the roller... about ½ inch past the front face of
the wheel.
•
Rotate chucking unit to the left. (counter-clockwise)
•
When dismounting wide-based tires be sure and pull out on the front
bead with your hand at the 7 o’clock position. This helps keep the tire
from getting in a bind because of its extreme width.
