4.5.1 AUTO/MAN mode
The machine control unit automatically controls the metering quantity according
to the forward speed signal. The application rate, working width and flow factor
are taken into account.
By default, the unit is operated in the
automatic mode.
The manual mode is only applied:

if there is no forward speed signal (radar or wheel sensor not available or de-
fective),

when slug pellets or seeds (fine seeds) are spread.
NOTICE
The settings in each menu are very important for optimal
automatic mass flow control (M EMC function) .
Please be particularly aware of the specifics of the M EMC function for the fol-
lowing menu items:

in the Fertiliser settings menu
- Spreading disc. See Page 50 .
- PTO speed. See Page 50 .

In the Machine settings menu
- AUTO / MAN mode. See Page 51 and chapter [5] .
NOTICE
To ensure regular spreading of the spreading material in manual operating
mode, it is imperative to work with a
constant forward speed .
