Component

Function

Battery Compartment

Provides access to the main battery. Turn the latch to release the door, then pull out or
insert the main battery.

Battery Charging Light

Indicates the battery power status when an external power source is connected.

• Solid light on: Battery is charging.
• Light is off: Battery is fully charged.
• Blinking: PIC is on, CPU is off, main battery not present.

NOTE:

The main battery charges, if needed, when an external power
source is connected whether the device is powered on or off.

USB Port

Enables you to connect a USB storage device or keyboard to the device.

Network/Ethernet
Connection

When the device is connected to a local area network, it enables you to transfer signal and
alarm data to the network or onto a laptop or PC.

Fan

The fan draws air into the device for cooling.

WARNING:

Do not block the flow of air into the fan.

Fuse

DC input fuse (T8A250 V) is located on the rear panel to the right of the handle. Additional
fuses are available in the maintenance kit.

DC Power Connector

Enables the device to operate from a DC source 12–18 VDC at 8 A max.

NOTE:

The device comes standard with a 100–240 VAC, 47–63 Hz input
power supply.

Hardware Reset

Resets the device hardware.

NOTE:

If the device hardware needs to be reset, press the power button
to perform a full restart. For further assistance, contact Rapiscan
Systems Technical Support.
