7.6.2
Inserting the Build Platform
To insert the build platform into the machine, please proceed as
follows:
1.
Prerequisite: The build platform has been checked for
cleanliness.

If you have not already done it, attach the build platform splash
guard to the platform:
–
Loosen both the knurled thumb nuts on the build
platform.

Now grasp the splash guard by the handle provided for
this purpose and push it onto the build platform as far as
it will go.

Take both knurled nuts and tighten them to affix the
splash guard to the platform.
3.
Open the upper hood.
4.
Open the knife protection device: Grasp the knife protection
device by the retaining tab and pull it towards your torso as far
as it will go. Now lift the device slightly and pull it completely out
of the machine. (Pay close attention to the pins to the left and
right of the knife protection device while doing so). Set it aside.
5.
Turn the rotary knob of the platform to loosen it.
Do not completely loosen!
6.
Place the platform on the guide rail of the platform mounting.
The “FRONT” marking must be pointing towards your body.
When doing so, make sure that the pins on the mounting fit
perfectly in the mounting on the platform.
7.
Fix the platform with the rotary knob.
8.
Continue with inserting the knife.

NOTE!
We always recommend using a build platform splash
guard to prevent material splashing the underside of the
platform handle which may possibly result from the
separation process.
