Troubleshooting 

⚠

 WARNING

  Disconnect the Lift from its pressurized Air Supply 

before

 performing any 

troubleshooting procedures. The Lift uses pneumatic energy; if your organization 

has Lockout/Tagout policies, make sure to implement them once the Lift is 

connected to a pressurized Air Supply. 

Issue 

Action to Take 

Top Deck does not raise. 

Verify you have a pressurized Air Supply attached. 
Verify the Hydraulic Hose is connected to the bottom of the 

Hydraulic Cylinder and to the Pump. 
Make sure the Lift has less than 1500 pounds / 680 kg on it. 

Do not exceed the maximum rated capacity of the Lift

. 

Top Deck lowering on its own. 

Verify the Safety Lock Plate is engaged on a Safety Lock. 
Look for hydraulic leaks and replace or repair faulty 

component. 

Lift is making odd noises as it raises 

and lowers. 

Verify the Lift is not overloaded.  
Lubricate hinge points and the Frame where the Scissor 

Rollers travel using white lithium grease. 

Lift wobbles as it raises or lowers. 

Make sure the Vehicle on the Lift is correctly secured. 

Lift becomes inoperative with 

Vehicle raised on the Lift. 

If the Lift is engaged on a Safety Lock, the Top Deck will stay 

raised. To lower it, use another lifting device to raise the 

Vehicle off the Top Deck a few inches, raise the Top Deck to 

get it off its Safety Lock, put the Vehicle back onto the Top 

Deck, then lower the Top Deck to the ground. Once the 

Vehicle is safely off the Lift, take the Lift out of service, 

determine the source of the problem, resolve the problem 

yourself, or visit
