R angemaster TX TIMER – remote control for TIMER timing system

2.4 SETTINGS
To enter settings mode insert the jumper to the 2-pin connector (BYPAS) on the right side from the DIP-
switch
LED2 placed on the PCB inside of TXTIMER will turn on.
To send commands to the Timer you should make 4 settings:
•
high byte of SGC ( refer to section 2.4.1 )
•
low byte of SGC
•
timer number.
•
layout number
2.4.1 SETTING THE SHOOTING GROUND CODE (SGC)
In order to avoid the possibility that Rangemaster devices might be controlled by someone else with
the similar remote control the Shooting Ground Code (SGC) is being set. SGC is a 4 digit code set to the
device (in this case to transmitter and timer) which allows to prevent unnecessary use by similar
transmitters (not belonging to this shooting ground). In this case if the timer and transmitter do not
have the same code, they will not work in tandem even if they have the same channel set. SGC is a 4
bite secret code which encrypts the transmission which is counterchecked by the corresponding timer.
If codes in timer and transmitter do not match timer will not respond to commands.
